How do u attract good talents?
So when u need good wash finisher, how do you go about finding them?
Replies
train them like you want them, which is a big pain in the ass. Or ask the guys that work for you if they have any friends that work at other washes and see if there happy, if not tell them to come work for you...
Can I assume that when you seek "good talents", you are seeking quality staffing, as opposed to simply filling a gap with someone who can merely fog a mirror.
First, you need to offer much better tangible and intangible compensation than your competition. Your staff is the backbone of your operation. Embrace high standards and treat individuals well while perpetuating a reputation of worthiness. Pay well in exchange for quality performance.
Reward frequently and balance your bonuses with positive expectations. Earn a reputation for being a good place to work. People always like to be part of a first-rate team led by a boss that appreciates his staff and demonstrates warmth through material as well as intangible rewards that are truly earned... while maintaining high standards that create customer respect and employee loyalty.
Always be on the lookout for new hires that enhance your operation while blending in well with the existing organizational structure. Be prepared to seek out and recruit employees from others. Most good candidates are already working, so always have a supply of recruitment cards wherever you go. Be prepared to say "If you're not happy where you are, consider giving us a chance". People are appreciative of being singled out as well as feeling highly regarded... and are genuinely gratified when being recruited. It's a clear recognition of value that ultimately boosts self-esteem. Being made to honestly feel "special" is priceless, and sends a powerful message of positive feelings. People like to feel good about themselves and are truly complimented by a reinforcing validation of self-worth.
Managers and owners should consider the recruitment process akin to very selective shopping for special gifts. Have good guidelines and well-defined standards before you go hunting... and be relentless. Set the bar reasonably high, and have a plan. Consider a series of incentive bonuses, such as a HIRING bonus, followed by a RETENTION bonus; I recommend at least a 7-bonus network woven into an ongoing staff maintenance program.
Go shopping... and be particular.
