% OF VACUM ONLY
Hi all I was wondering if those of you who own a carwash(IBA &SS) would be able to give an estimate on % of customers that enter their site and use vacums only ,( do not wash). I know this may be difficult but just a guestimate will do. Thanks Glenn

Not many. We have a large covered vac area, so on rainy days the vac income stays pretty good. I'd guesstimate that 10-15% of the overall vac income is from non-washers.
I agree with Mep1, I notice a lot of taxis coming in to vacuum only. But the also wash the taxi at times. Every quarter helps pay the bills
I have a data base with over 100 sites that includes this information. The highest rate I have on record is about 25% and 15% to 20% seems typical.
My experience with exterior washes in Portland, Oregon is about 20%.
