Whose Talking
'10 better than '09?
So, I've been talking to few operators, both full and express. The general consensus has been that 2010 so far has been better than 2009. 2010 is about same as 2008 but still worse than 2007. At least the trend is now upward and hopefully we'll get back to the 2007 numbers soon?
Is everyone else seeing the similar uplift on their numbers so far this year?

We're up about 5% year to date from '09, despite a 10% unemployment rate. I think that this is representative of people hanging onto their cars longer and taking better care of them as a result. We've alos tried to focus more strongly than ever on delivering the highest possible quality wash through the use of better solutions and trying to ensure total customer satisfaction. We try to do this by handing to each customer our clean car guarantee and encouraging them to let us know how we can improve their experience with us. We continue to hand out our customer newsletter that empahsizes how safe it is to wash with us and how environmentally responsible it is to wash with us. We like to communicate with our customers and the four mintes they spend in the tunnel is a great time to inform and educate our customer. We continue also to hand out moist, disposable cloths to customers so that they can wipe off their dash. In this economy I believe it's all about trying harder. Its easy to be like every other car wash. But you have to do whatever it takes to differntiate yourself and be head and shoulders above the rest.
Sounds like the extra miles you are going for the customers are paying off as you see your number being better than '09, Chiefs!
Now, what about compared to '08?

2008 was our best year for both the lube and wash, and as of now were killing those numbers. It should be a good year, we have a lot of new ideas and redoing our lobby right now as its in need of an update.
Hey Chiefs, is there anyway you can post up or email me those newsletters you hand out to the customers.. I want to get some ideas. jordanpm@msn.com
Thanks Jordan
