In bay advertising

Thought It time to change the subject. The existing car wash that I have been speaking about sells advertising on his s/s bay walls,large signs in plastic covered frames approx 2 by 1 meters . Local businesses such as tire sales ,auto mechanics ,smash repairers etc. Is this common in the states and if so any thoughts on prices to charge. Thanks Glenn.

we used to sell fence space along our drive, businesses could put a sign or banner within each 8ft section. they had the signage made which was approved by us and they paid $50 a month I had 12 sections that would be leased out, until the city hit us with a signage permit fee if we didnt remove the signs. Along the entrance drive it looked like a baseball outfield fence. we did it long enough to pay for a New Plow truck, at the end we simply removed the signage and returned to each business. there are always little ways to maximize extra revenue on your site if you think outside the box
