In my area you are not supposed to dump mud or other liquids in a dumpster. However, you may be able to remove the mud from the pit or trench and allow the excess water to drain off. Once it no longer fills the shape of a container it is usually no longer considered liquid. In this state it may be acceptable to place this in a dumpster. I know some operators who have in the past built large drying areas for their pit mud.
ymer3ii, are you talking about the mud in the pits, or mud you're scraping off the bay floor? If it's the latter, it's not considered hazardous waste yet and you can put it in your dumpster even when it's still wet.
I am fortunate enough to have some fenced in property next to my 6 bay self serveice car wash. I removed the mud from the pits and spread it on the ground on this grassy weedy lot. Takes no time for it to settle in and just become part of the lot. Someday I will probably have to hire a tractor to level it of better but for a long time it will just be a reclame center :)
I was paying 500 bucks to have it pumped and hauled 3-4 times a year. Now I use my supper dupped scooper and a wagon. Only takes about three hours to do the six bays and I keep in shape :)
