Litter Bag good idea?

We have full service car wash.

A customer suggested getting a customized litter bag with our logo and hand out to customers who get wash.

I thought it was an interesting idea.

Has anyone done this? And where do you get your bags from?

Thanks.

Thanks for the web site. Nice.

Now, would you give it to all the customers or just the top package customers?

Also, would the cashier be the best person to hand them out?

It's advertisement; give it to all the customers.

I don't know who would be "the best" to hand them out since I don't know tunnels or your process.

www.litterbag.com 1-888-818-5872
$94/1000 and if you order 12,000 you get 13,000

Ask for Sue

You can also get them from Bayshore Bag Co at www.lidejo.com but their prices are higher and no baker's dozen.

Its advertising. Either give to all customers or none at all. It is an
expensive proposition though. Wash 50,000 cars and its $5K. Wash 100K and its 10K. Do some like it? of course they do. Will it make them think of you instead of your competition or wash more frequently? Just like all advertising for car washes. If the cars are dirty and the forecast is good, you wash cars. If they are not that dirty and the forecast is bad, they are not going to "waste" their money.

I've done many forms of advertrising over the years during our slow season (June - November). Litter bags, ValPak, cable, newspaper, websites (ours and others like HeyButler). The results are almost always a wash (pardon the pun) in that any increase in business was offset by the cost of the advertising along with the loss of revenue due to whatever the offer is. During our busy season, I believe is the only sensible time to advertise - when the customers needs you, not when you need the customer and they have other options.

I think it makes a nice freebie but you don't have to give them to every customer.

We offer them. In a full serve wash environment the best thing is to hang them on a hook in the customer waiting area. Let the customer take one if they want it. It is a lot cheaper than giving to every customer and eliminates the waste of giving to the customers who don't care either way.

We have many customers who love them and many who couldn't care less.

what about an air freshener with your name and logo on it, the top two wash packages comes with a free air fresherner of your choice and have your attendant hang it on the rear view mirror where it constantly is in there face. the litter bag is usually filled up with trash and chucked in the barrell within days a airfresherner may have a longer shelf life in the car and a way to boost highirer wash packages with the incentive. Which would you pefer a free litter bag or air fresherner? and these could also be sold for a $1 in your waiting area as well to absorb the cost of giving them out free for top wash customers
