Mercedez Mirror Damaged
So, an old Mercedez came through our tunnel. It's one of those mirror that has some sort of hinge so that it flexes inward and outward. So, we can't fold the mirrors in like we normally do.
Customer claims that the driver side mirror broke through our tunnel. There is some sort of black plastic clip that I see is broken off. So the mirror kind of flips back and forth a bit as if there was nothing hodling it.
Customer claims that it could have happend through the tunnel or maybe one of our finisher was pushing the mirror too hard when cleaning and thus broke it.
Being completely objective, what is the likelihood of tunnel or finisher having broken such mirror?

we broke one. they are not made well, break easy, we use wrap retract on all these mercedes. probably gonna cost $500. it probably would have been very obvious when it went in if it was broke.
Here's the sign that we now have at every one of our autocashiers right next to where they insert their money or CC. We had one of the Cadillac CTS taillights come off a few weeks ago. We told him about the sign (which he of course paid no attention to), he came back the next day to take a look at it, and we haven't heard from him since.
The sign lets the customers make the final determination of whether or not they should wash one of these problem vehicles. If a customer asks if the part is okay, my employees are instructed to say the only safe answer "I don't know".
Also, on our disclaimer sign at the front of the wash it clearly states that the customer assumes all responsibility for anything on vehicles 10 years old or older or over 100,000 miles. That one statement has been worth it's weight in gold. Your warranty runs out after 36,000 miles on most cars...and for good reason.
