A good option might be to find someone to "lease" some space at your wash to do detailing. After 6 months or so you will know what you need and how to do it. So, you can decide if you it would be worth it to hire detailers or continue to lease the space and have fewer headaches.

Thanks Homer, good idea

Be very careful about leasing your space to "detailers." They are a traditionally unstable group and not very dependable, as a rule from a car wash operator's point of view.

Further realize that even though they are a separate business your car wash customer sees them as "you" and will hold you responsible for anything bad that happens.

Most operators I know shy away from such arrangements.

Just some well intentioned thoughts.

I guess it's a little different here in Houston, I literally know dozens of washes that do that with no major issues.

I know of washes that do lease spaces to detailers, some in Houston. Sometimes there ARE major issues and the owner of the wash is just ignorant of them.
