Happy Anniversary TCW.com

In two weeks, this site will be 1 year old. I couldn't be prouder of the work my son has done, both the technical know how, the passion, and the fun at which he has thrown at this project.

He told me a year ago he could create a site that would "rock" and told him to put his money where his mouth was and just do it. Well, he did and he did it well. I called BillP and Mark Thorsby and told them both what he was doing, to let them know and get their input.

I think this site has challenged both the ICA and Autocare Forum to step up their activities to a new level, both are much improved. Allan has created a place where vendors, operators, and associations can communication on more equal terms. We've had a lot of conversations about the tendances of forums to become "bashing grounds" and he's done a great job at monitoring this site and keeping it peaceful. The amount of content (videos), that's on this site is surprising, as is having 1200 members. More than anything, I can see in my son the same love/passion for the people in this industry that I have had. He's gotten to know so many people, that now I'm being referred to as "Allan's dad" instead of him as "Jimmy's son".

So to Allan, I'd like to say Happy Anniversary and GOOD WORK SON!

PS: On the advertising side, I like to thank DRB (Ken & Dale) and IDM (Eddie) for being his first advertisers. Allan hasn't wanted to load this site up with a lot of ads.
