ERIE, Pa. — Erie firefighters had to rescue a woman who, for a few brief minutes, was beset by some steadily depressing, low-down mind-messin’ stuck in the car wash blues.
Deputy Fire Chief Mike Fahey says crews responded to the drive-thru car was about 5:50 p.m. Wednesday when a woman reported that her vehicle became stuck in the business.
Firefighters arrived to find that the front and back doors of the automated car wash had closed, with the woman’s vehicle still inside.
Fahey tells the Erie Times-News the fix was quick. He says the woman didn’t drive far enough into the car wash to trigger the exit door. Firefighters hit the switch for her and she was able to drive away safely.
