I just both a 2002 Vector rapid wash machine and I want to replace the original treadle assembly for a virtual treadle system.

Is this possible on this machine?

Thanks,
Joe

You should be able to to retrofit that with no problems. Our Vector is a 2003 and we retrofitted that with the VPS.

How much cost this VPS kit?

We upgraded our machine about 4 years ago so I don't really remember the cost. I think it was in the neighborhood of $5,000-6,000.

This is a bit expensive, did you see any benefit in what respect more clients or you think is not worth it.

I believe it is worthwhile. In fact, I wouldn't consider installing an automatic that did not have a no treadle option. We have a Laser4000 as well as this vector and upgraded both of them. It isn't really possible to calculate an exact return on the investment. I believe it is part of making the wash experience as easy and as trouble free as possible for the customer.

We have a Vector with the original floor treadle, and every few months I see a "Time out error" on the log, and when I check video sure enough someone couldn't figure out how to get onto the treadle in the 3 minutes it gives before resetting. You can bet each of those is a customer that will never come back. As far as a return on investment, it may pay for itself in repeat business in people who use it the first time and find it easier to get into position than trying to get their tire into a treadle they can't see. You could also pick up or get back business from cars with low-profile tires that were before afraid to use it for fear of damaging expensive rims. Advertising a "clear floor" design after the changeover might help.

Thank you all for the input; I am already working with Belanger Technical Support Representative to replace the old original treadle for the VPS system.
