POWER RAIN TROUBLES
Hello all,
I just opened my wash with a slightly used power rain 1500 , The tri foam was working yesterday then I tried to program a double rinse( because all the foam wasn't coming off) then boom no trifoam at all? Tried reprograming the whole cycle - still doesn't work, but it does work on test mode? Also I'm using k-c chemicals and I get a slight film left on the cars, you can only see it on sunny days on dark cars and it seems the backs are worse then the sides , is this the high presure rinse with drying agent or something wrong with the presoak? (no r-o , city water,no softner) Any comments would be very helpful. THANKS JIM

You can't get a good wash with poor water quality. A clean car with with water spots is a dirty car.
I don't know anything about power rain units, but it sounds like a programming error to me.
Try strengthening your presoak to get rid of the film. You may have to run it stronger than recommended. It would be helpful to know test results of water for both hardness and TDS. It would improve wash quality if the chemical feed water was soft. If your water is very hard it might be best to treat all water used in the wash process.
Thanks, I finally got some help and I think your right about programming error, they told me to clear the memory and reprogram hopfully its works I'll know more tommarrow, also getting the test you recommended done tommarrow,I talked to the factory about that today, Well thanks I'll let you know. Some times low water psi while the water tank is filling will cause the foam to look differ from car to car, some thing you can try is raise the dwell time on pass 5 or what ever before foam pass so water tank can fill an,you would have water psi to get good foam,I work with k.c. all the time check no presoak heater setting might need two 5 mirco filters on inlet water, fill free to email or call 912-531-2575
Thanks are you saying I have two filters that need changing or are you saying to add two?
I am saying you need to add two to lower tds on presoak inlet water.
A 5 micron filter won't affect TDS (total dissolved solids) of water. Dissolved solids are molecules, not even 1000th of a micron in size.
