Do you shut dorrs on cold days?

Hi, I'm a newbie to the biz.
We have full service car wash with 3 bay lube.
I asked guys to keep all garage doors open even if it's cold outside so that the customers will know that we're open. Plus, I just think it's more inviting.
But the lube guys tell me that keeping the door open will freeze the oils in the pit.
What do most shops do on cold days? Do we keep the garage doors shut or still keep them open?
Thank you.

The lube guys are lying. I'm sure they want the doors closed to keep themselves warm, because oil won't ever freeze.
You're probably right about the open doors being more inviting, but I'd bet you'll make everyone happy with a large "OPEN" neon sign or banner.
