4-wheel vs. 6-wheel rollers

i have heard that 4-wheel rollers are less likely to jam than 6-wheel rollers. We have a 135 ft Hanna conveyor -- D88k chain with 335,000 cars over 3 yrs. Experiencing some roller jams due to wear and tear that have caused some of the M-2 carrier links to snap under stress. Already replaced a dozen 6-wheel with the same but before replacing all and/or the entire chain would like feedback on benefits -- if any -- of 4-wheel vs. 6 wheel as well as triangle/side plate attachments vs. carrier links. Thanks.

Unless your chain is worn, the conveyor should not have sufficient torque to break it under any circumstances. My rule of thumb is 3 breaks in a short period of time and it is time for a replacement

In our previous wash we had a D88 chain. The weakest part was the "dolly carrier link". We changed all of them out for one from Sonny's. We are using the MacNeil X458 chain, which is substantially more robust. Also the MacNeil dolly only has 2-wheels.
