Whose Talking
If you don't have video...
Here is how our most valuable employees, our video cameras, have worked tirelessly in the past 24 hours.
1. Yesterday evening a customer in a brand new 2007, 60K+ Escalade grabbed the receipt from the customer before him and claimed that he did not get his wash $8 wash. After several minutes of ranting and raving he said that he would settle for a $6 wash. After watching the instant replay, our manager kindly refused his generous offer.
2. Yesterday a customer claimed that the center hubcap from one of his rims came off in the wash...upon further review, it was missing before the wash. He was very impressed with the video system ("This is so cool!") and convinced that we did not do it.
3. Last night a customer claimed that we scratched the front passenger door handle on his 1998 vehicle. The video showed that it was preexisting. Then he said we scratched the rear driver door handle. Guess what? He told the manager that he wants to speak with the owner so I called back this morning and left a message stating that I would be more than happy to review the videos with him. I have a feeling that he won't be calling back.
The only way to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt is with video. It sure beats the "I'm calling my lawyer" response. BTW...does every person except for car wash owners have their own personal lawyer on retainer just waiting to file papers 24/7?
