Drying agent dilution???

OK, So I'm using a hydrominder, then a dema b series to pump out... how do you measure the dilution using both? how do I know how much the dema is diluting the solution? I know that there is a metering screw... but that doesnt seem too accurate. I was thinking of switching to a blue and white pump. Any thoughts or anyone know how to figure out the dema?

The only positive way to determine what the concentration is titrate. Not easy. There is no absolute positive injection system. Some are just a little more reliable or durable then others. ALL WILL FAIL over time, or have wild swings in concentrations.

A combination of using a hydrominder and a dema has always been a problem in determining a product's ratio. You are inadvertently creating a double dilution, first through the hydrominder then through the dema. If you look at the manufacturers recommended dilution ratio on the label it doesn't take into consideration that a dema is in play.

Best suggestion, turn the dema off and just use the hydrominder. Try using a purple tip, 120:1 or yellow 90:1 and check your results.

Thanks, Just to confirm... unscrewing both metering screw and flow screw all the way out turns the dema off?

Thanks,
Mike
