Happy to say...

Received a call yesterday from a distraught gentleman who claimed that his wife had her sunglasses stolen at our car wash last Saturday. He asked me if I could review the video footage to see how it happened. It had to be the car wash because both he and his wife remember her putting the "Gucci" sunglasses in the case under the seat. He then mentioned that our employee must have been very clever because he or she left the case and only took the glasses. After a few seconds of confusion, I told the customer "We are an exterior express wash so our employees never enter your vehicle. I'm happy to say that you have us confused with the full service car wash down the street." Problem solved.

I had a guy pull up to the auto cashier and call me over to ask how to enter his wash code. I told him we don't use wash codes. He said he prepaid a wash and didn't use it because it was raining. I told him we don't have any method to prepay washes and showed him there was no keypad on the auto cashier (which he appeared to already know without ever looking). He insisted again that "I bought the wash code here!" I asked to see his ticket. It was from a C-store 20 miles away in a different city and was three weeks old. When I handed it back to him he didn't even look at it - I was surprised when he paid for a wash instead of of pulling away.
