What percentage of increase have you experienced with engine cleaner? Tire Foam? Is it best for these to be different systems? or a all in one?

Tire and engine cleaner are typically the same product in a self-serve. It's one of the essentials IMO.

Tire cleaner is used fairly frequently and I would personally consider it a "must-have" in a modern SS wash.

As Mep said, engine cleaner is usually the same product, but I don't actively promote engine cleaning or de-greasing at my places. One place has porcelain tile walls and it can be a real PITA to get grease off the walls. If someone asks what product to use on their engine, I tell them to use the tire cleaner.

MFG's of a built tire cleaner/engine cleaner will put a solvent in the formula. This solvent plus a 40 drop titration will keep your customers. What you usually see from a lot of car washes is a weak non working product that no one will buy. Produce a quality product and it will sell. Snickers comes to mind

As you know, in the self service car washing industry we are not selling car washes, we are selling time. The more time they use your products and equipment, the more money you will make. The key to making a lot of money in the wash bays is to get the customer to spend more time. As the last reply stated,... offer a quality product and people will use it. It's better to pay a little extra for a cleaner that shows results than to buy a product that customers are only going to try on one wheel and then give up. I want the customer to try it on one wheel, see a great result and then feed the acceptor with more money to do the other three.
