Kleen Wall that is advertised in the back of trade show magazines is the best product I have seen or used. It says that it is 100% Hydrofluoric Acid Free. I am almost 100% sure that it does have HF in it. I am not a chemist, but I believe it is some kind of loop hole using powder ABF then that turns into HF when mixed with water/or other surfactants. So technically HF is not in the ingredients, but is in the chemical composition. I could be totally wrong about that, but that is my theory at least. I have done a side by side comparison with a Zep product called Zep-A-Lume that for sure has HF in it and the Kleen Wall worked a lot better. It doesn’t work as advertised “spray on rinse off” I would spray use a wire brush spray again and then rinse, and it would work great on almost anything. Just make sure you are not careless with it, and you should be fine. Hope this helps

We buy aluminum brightener from local truck washing supply. It is often much less expensive than wall cleaning products that are essentially the same formulation. Yes,it has HF as the active ingredient, HF is bad stuff (google it), but it cleans soap scum like nobody's business. I'll use it with some common sense precautions.

I use the Klean Wall too - it works well on the bay walls removing something that the softener lets through. At a 4:1 dilution it doesn't do much; at 1:1 it's a spray on, rinse off (with high pressure) solution. You have to adjust it to suit the need. If you're dealing with a simple build-up of calcium, muriatic acid will work and is a lot cheaper, but it's really nasty to work with.

My experience with the Klean Wall product was just O.K. I've used acid so much on the white boards, that I think I've broken down the composition or surface to much for the Klean Wall to actually work...
