I have a 450,000 btu Locivar boiler in my ss car wash that is given me fits :( I need some one with experieice in these things to talk to for a few minutes to get some guidence. If there is any one out there that knows these units and is willing to let me call them for a few minutes please email me direct allen@lofland.net.
The unit is failing to start but gives no codes for what is wrong. I know she needs serviceing but no body around here wants to touch it. And they cost to much for me to pay to train them.
Thanks and hope some one can help....happy new year :)

What exactly is it doing? Turn it off for a minute and turn it back on and listen to exactly what it's doing. If it's completely dead, start with the fuses and 24v supply. See if the pilot is lighting, see if the ignitor continues to spark after the pilot lights, etc.

OK you are close, I dont know if the ignitor continues to spark after the pilot lights but if goese thru the normal procedue, orange light then green and then it goese off to retry after a little while about a minute then if doese the same thing over and over until finally it has a flame out and has to be reset.
I am getting no flash's from the module.
I know the burners need cleaning but would that be a reason for this.??

More info, The igniter had burned up and gave the proper four flash's for that, we got a after market igniter that is about 1/2 inch shorter. The people said it worked well in this unit ??? could this be the cause.
Always something you forget to tell isnt there :(
Before the igniter went out we where having air pressure codes once in a while and we new this was from dirty burners or at least suspent it but it would start up and run .
Then the igniter went out. I called the factory and the tec said the two where not connected that the igniter was just old and went byby. Get a ew one and run but get the burners cleaned ASAP
I can get a oem igniter monday. meanwhile we are running with out hot water and its freezing :( hope we dont loose anything. We have weep miser on the wands but the soapy brush's have hot water along with the over head trays run hot water thru the area for heat ..... I have the thermastat in the pump room set at 50 degrees so that should help ????
When will this craziness stop haha.

The burner is pretty easy to remove and clean, just undo the union and two bolts that hold it in and slide it out. What usually happens when they're dirty is what you describe; the poor mix of air and gas ends up sucking out the pilot, and it shuts off and relights over and over. I pull the burner out and use a torch tip cleaner (It must be smaller than the orifice because they're brass, and you need to clean them carefully so you don't enlarge them), then spray the pipes clean by backflushing high-pressure water through each nozzle until no more soot comes out the pipe. Let it dry well and reinstall it, then you can figure out the ignitor problem.

I pulled the burners, all 13 of them :) They are clean as a whistle, I can se a little suit in the box but the burners are clean. I took them home, soaked them and flushed and now they are cleaner. :) All the holes are perfect.
I need a manmeter to set this thing back up right so I will get one monday when I get the new igniter.
