310 cat losing pressure

The pump starts out at 1200 psi and when the trigger is pulled the psi drops to 600. I have replaced the regulator and tip also no leaks are detected. I have spoken with cat tech support and they suggest replacing the seals. Any other suggestions.

I had a plunger go in my 310, also check all the inline legs on your power, I had one rattle loose, and also I have a y filter on my inline water from the hydrominder tank and they can get gummed up in the screen, a liitle 3/4 plug threads out and there is a screen in there, if you have that option. good luck, my 310 were a headache with direct drive, rebuilt mine to 340's with belts, knock on wood no probs in 6 years, just change the oil and keep up on them, is key!

Yep, assuming no restriction to incoming water flow replacing the seals would be my next step.

I just had my 56 start loosing pressure. Had the valves and seals replaced and works like new.

2Great...where do you get the screen for inside the tank? I've been having a problem sourcing this.

it's not a screen inside the tank, on the water inlet from the tank there is a y connection with a clean out, undo the 3/4cap and inside is a screen the size of an over sized thimbel, we clean it out all the time and no probs, got the unit built from dultimier, aweseome unit, you need a part they have your unit on file with who built it and no exactly what part u need with out even looking for a number to refrence for

I've bought tank strainers from Windtrax that fit over a nipple in the tank. Just search "screen" and go to page 2.
