My Summer Diet is on Track!
As you may or may not remember, I did the Marilu Henner 30 day health makeover last Winter. It went great; I lost weight, looked and felt much better and loved the way my clothes fit. I had lots of energy and required less sleep while feeling refreshed in the morning.
Then I got busy, built a new detail shop and, well, got off track a bit. Now I'm back and here's my new plan:
1. fruit and coffee first thing in the am.
2. Cereal at 10am.
3. salad for lunch; mixed greens, fresh tomato, 1 can of tuna, and asian dressing.
4. dinners; vary, but heavy on nice fish, some pastas, etc. These recipes are from the Marilu cookbook.
It's early on in this regime, but I already feel better and have more energy. I'm at 181 lbs now and would like to be a fit 173.

Are you working out too? I prefer martial arts, it is a great physical activity that requires concentration. Great way to work the body and the mind. Proper stretching is very important too!
Yes, I exercise. My wife and I do 1 hour family walks almost daily, taking turns pushing the double stroller w/ 2 kids, and I do 'the 5 tibetans', which is a special series of yoga-type exercises.
I love free weights as well, due to the immediate results I seem to get, but have been slacking on that lately. I dug a long trench for some conduit to light my carwash sign and flag pole; does that count??? It made me sore!
Mark I agree with you about the martial arts. I used to train in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I was in the best shape of my life when I did it also.
