chain mantinace

Just looking for feed back, on chain repair, lubrication, ect any info helpful thanks.

I have a location that just got 300k cars off the original plastic. We keep the water level in the trench above the bottom layer. If that's not possible you can run a reclaim by pass line (or backwash line) to spray on the chain and rollers on the bottom layer. Water is the best lubricant.

I'm sure the flow of water keeping the grit washed off the chain helps too.

For metal to metal...that's it exactly...less grit.
For plastic to metal...i think water both cleans and lubricates.
