Bill Dispenser Tricks
This is for bill dispensers, not bill acceptors. Those of us with auto cashiers have a nagging problem with bills not coming out of our machines like they should. My Coleman Entry 2.0 with the Fujitsu dispensers($1 and $5) have been extremely reliable. Rarely do I get a jamb. But occasionally I'll have one or two bills reject because they are new or two try to come out at one time. The best feature of the Fujitsu is that they are horizontal stackers...not vertical. I've had an American dispenser that was vertical and I could never get it to work right.
I replenish my dispenser from the bills that come in. 70- to 90% of the bills are good enough to dispense.. no tears, no tape, no heavy wrinkles, no strong folds in the middle, and all the corners must be down. Brand new bills must be separated or wrinkled up a little.
Picture 1 is what I do with my bills before I insert them into the dispenser. I put them in a small plastic deposit bag and tape that tight....then wait till the next day to insert them. It makes a brick.
Picture 2 shows my lexan overlay for the stack to make them lie flat. I also have a printed piece of paper as the last bill indicator.
Picture 3 is our Dunbar shift bags (10c each and we reuse them)

Good idea, in fact I'll bet vacuum-sealing them in a food storage bag overnight would work even better.
That would...good idea...rubber bands...anything heavy works...sometimes it's the small things that make life dramatically easier...
